Digitalis Pururea – Digitalis
Digitalis, commonly known as Foxglove, thrives in full sun to partial shade and grows to be 2-5 feet tall. These stunning plants bloom from May to June, producing tall spikes of tubular flowers in a range of colors. While they are visually striking, it’s important to note that Foxglove is highly toxic if ingested. Interestingly, the plant is also used to make a medication called digitalis, which is used to treat heart conditions. Despite its beauty, care should be taken to keep it out of reach of children and pets.
