Rhododendron – Rhododendron
There are 500 to 900 different types of rhododendrons, celebrated for their vibrant spring blooms. A true rhododendron features 10 stamens in each flower, with foliage in shades of white, pink, purple, or red. Depending on the species, they can grow up to 15 feet tall, though the PJM variety is more compact, reaching 3 to 6 feet. These plants thrive in partial to full shade, making them ideal for shaded garden areas.
